Starting with an Internal Launch

In the last two posts I talked about the different types of product launches that there are. We have two types of launches that we can run - and Jeff Walker is going to teach us how to utilize both of them in our various niches.

I've been doing internet marketing for awhile and I've seen my fair share of product launches. Both as an affiliate and a few smaller launches of my own. I'd like to talk about why you should always launch your product with an internal launch first. Internal launches are a lot easier to get started with because they don't require nearly as much coordination as a huge joint venture launch does.

So you've got a product right? Now you want to run an internal launch. Well if you don't have any sort of prospect list then that's where we need to start. The easiest way to start building a list is by giving something away. I know if may seem strange at first but look at all of the major launches. They all give away free content.

Depending on your niche you may want to ask for more information but normally I create an opt in page using Aweber that asks for the users name and email. In exchange for their name and email I'll send them a niche related ebook or some sort of ecourse. You have to make sure that whatever you send to them is high quality so you begin to build some trust with them.

You'll obviously need to get some traffic to this page and there are several ways to do that. We'll go over the different ways to drive traffic to your opt in page in the next post. Do you have any questions? Starting with an internal launch is the easiest way to launch your product.

After you drive traffic and you build up a solid prospect list you'll want to build trust with them. Send them plenty of free content by email to keep them interested and make sure you keep the list active while you wait for it to grow large enough.

Once the list is large enough - and how large that is varies by niche - then it's time to launch your product. Make sure that you are tracking and testing different landing pages for your internal launch. You can take these stats into your large joint venture launch and use them to be able to bring on joint venture partners.

This will allow you to make sure that your product, landing page, and sales funnel are all up to par before you have anyone else send traffic to your product.
